day, a grocer borrowed a balance and some weights from a fruitseller. After a

fruitseller very angry. But the fruitseller controlled his temper and said,
“Never mind. I can’t blame you. It’s my bad luck.” The grocer thought to him,
“The illiterate fruitseller is a great fool.”

‘Communicative
competence’ refers to the ability to use a language appropriately in different
situations. There are two ways of developing communicative competence in a
language. It is an acquisition which is similar to the way one develops ability in
their mother tongue. This way is a natural, subconscious process in which users
are not usually aware of acquiring a language. On the other hand, the second
way of developing communicative competence in a language is learning that
language. It refers to conscious knowledge of it, knowing the rules of language
use, being aware of using it, and being able to talk about them.
